Healthier Replenisher Hydrates, But Costs

You might be thinking about the warmer weather and getting outside. Perhaps you want to enjoy the weather or you plan on exercising. No matter your reason you want to stay hydrated. We have a great product that helps with this and is considered a healthier option, yet as with many such things has a high price tag. Actually, it is something you can use all year around and several products are available. I am talking about Ultima Replenisher. I tried the Electrolyte Hydration Mix in the original variety sample pack (stickpacks), but there are so many more options available, I might try them someday.

This pack is a great way to try out this product and decide what you like best. Each is tasty, but I have tried several different electrolyte hydration drinks. It didn’t wow me enough and for the price, I would go with one of my already tried and true favorites. That doesn’t mean this product isn’t for you. It just might be exactly what you want. Truly it is healthier than other such drinks. It is made “with fruit and vegetable extracts and nothing artificial” and not many other such products can say that. I am sure I will try it again because it is a healthier choice.

Bascially, this is a product with 0 calories, 0g sugar and 0g carbs per serving. It also has electrolytes and trace minerals, plant-based flavors and colors. It is gluten free and supports a keto friendly diet as well as being sweetned with organic Stevia. I cannot have certain sweeters, but natural and organic sweeteners don’t bother me. This seemed to be fine.

Prepare this powder product by adding the stickpack, if you get the indivdual packs like I did, to 16 fl. oz. water. (The other option is to get containers with scoops if you are interested in that type instead of individual packets.) Then put on the lid and shake or stir it if you add it to a sports container or cup. Make sure it mixes throughly. This is also a product made in the USA. It is even nongmo project verified and vegan certified.

Like I said, this is not an inexpensive product. It is up to you if you feel it is worth it or you like it enough. I want you to know it is out there. The product website is selling six of the individual packets in the variety bundle (what I tried) for $8. Amazon.com has a big bundle for around $40. That bundle will last you a while though, I figure. It includes 20 stickpacks of Tropical and 20 stickpacks of Original (what I tried).

Flat Water Does Not Fall Flat

Today’s book is from one of the groups we work with providing the book and information about the author along with the book details. I also was given the book allowing me to read it and give my thoughts for a review. Here is Flat Water by Jeremy Broyles.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Flat Water is the story of siblings, surfing, and sharks and what happens when those things come together both in the water and out of it.

On a road trip to Flat Water, the home he fled years before, Monty Marinnis must confront the complex and painful loss that drove him away and now demands his return: family. Called back to California for his sister’s wedding, Monty’s journey from the Midwest to the California Coast is also a journey through memory, one complicated by the presence of his adoring, but increasingly frustrated wife Charlotte, from whom Monty has concealed the horrifying details of his family’s fracture and how he remains haunted by what he witnessed as a teenager.

The Marinnis family lost their eldest son in a shocking attack, while Monty watched, helpless. Since that day, he has been obsessed with finding an answer to a question that has none: Why do bad things happen to some people but not others? Why were they selected to suffer? Monty will be confronted by brutal truths that rise like sharks from the depths.

REVIEW

NOTE: Language, sex, several brief descriptions of animal attacks (shark). As always, I try to let my readers know what to expect when reading. I left this note, but want you to also know these elements are not an overwhelming part of these story. They are part of this story giving it life and part of the life of this story’s reality.

This is a well written story driven with dynamic discriptions and character development. The story is full of feeling and an interesting way to approach it. The writer provides energy in his writing that keeps the reader in the story and you feel for the characters. Readers feel the true grief and torment in what is being dealt with in this story as well. Nevertheless, the reader is not bogged down in emotion and grief. It comes in waves as it does in real life just as we all deal with these things. We get the heart of this story and ultimately get to see what it means to deal with the waves of life as well as the waves in the ocean. It is a moving and intriging story.

If you are looking for a story with feeling that incorporates even more with it then this is a perfect read for you.

Blog Continues for Another Year

I had lost count of the years we have been presenting our blog of reviewing books and products. I looked back and the first was in 2016 so we are not quite at 10 years, but the boys have been growing up with the reviews. Even before the blog we were trying products and letting companies know through surveys how we felt about the products they provided to us. The same with books. I have been editing and reviewing books for quite a while.

It has been another busy year. Jackson graduated from high school and is attending Rose Hulman, which was his top college pick. It was his dream since third grade to attend this top STEM college. Lucky for us it is only about 20 minutes away. Matthew is excelling in his classes as a high school sophomore being in some honors classes as well as adding to his sports experiences. He, of course, continues to enjoy soccer but added helping as wrestling manager and is adding track by participating in the relay and 100-meter dash this year. He also continues to be involved with other school activities and 4-H. He is super busy all the time.

Jackson Graduates High School

Our blog continues to work with book tours adding the WOW! tour this year with a few books in our blog. We also started with some book tours and books provided by Author Marketing Experts (ame). There is always a long list of books to review with a variety available. Some books we know we will enjoy and some are out of our comfort zone or perhaps not what we would typically read. But, we read them to let you know what is available. Some we have liked and loved and then recommended while others have not been our favorites, but we left it up to you to decide if you wanted to read them or not.

During the next few months while we still had products on the list to review it was getting sparse on what products were left. Now no worries there are options for a while and more arriving soon. Yet, I was starting to wonder if we would have any new products arriving. Worry no longer! I have several boxes on the way from #PINCHME, who I have worked with in the past that provides a wide variety of samples. They have many more coming our way.

Matthew Enjoying Playing Soccer

So, we don’t see an end in sight for the blog with products or books. The only thing is space and time. Will we have time to have at least four blogs a month as we promise? Will there be free space available? We shall see! Keep coming back for more to find out.

Join Adriana on a Historical Romance

One of the groups I work with asked if I would review one of the books they had available. It sounded interesting and I said “sure”. I have details and a review as well as information about the author in our blog today. It isn’t a tour, but that’s OKAY. A little feature to help an author promote a book. This is an interesting read. The book is Adriana by Leslie Hachtel.
